This large house started life as a commercial property. Substantial internal modernisations were made including studwork, insulation and plaster boarding of the 1st floor walls to create a large kitchen and lounge.

All the kitchen units were built to order including oak legs and supports and shelving was fitted throughout to create a traditional French 'rustic' feel. A window was installed between the kitchen and the hall to give extra light in the kitchen area.

Doors and windows on the front aspect were replaced, together with the wooden lintels as the originals were in poor condition.
